The Haynes Remix is Back!
After a break, The Haynes Remix returns—bigger, bolder, and more unapologetic than ever. Hosted by Abeni Haynes, with the wisdom and fire of Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III, this podcast is where faith, justice, culture, and activism collide.
Join us every Tuesday at 12 noon CST for powerful conversations, unfiltered reflections, and deep dives into the pressing issues of our time. Some episodes will feature thought leaders and change-makers, while others will offer real talk, personal insights, and the truth we all need to hear.
Got a question for us? Scroll down to submit your questions for our mailbag segment—we’ll be answering them in a special episode later this season.
Get ready. The Remix is here.

Frederick Douglass Haynes, III (@fhunscripted)Known for being a prophetic voice in the pulpit, Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III is a nationally renowned pastor and preacher who has captivated thousands with his socially conscious, innovative, and liberating sermons. As a social justice warrior, he turns his words into action, fighting for the outcast, oppressed, and downtrodden. But when he isn’t preaching, pastoring, protesting, teaching, studying, or checking off the thousands of tasks on his to-do list, he’s a laid-back kind of guy! Don’t let the preacher’s suit fool you (though you might catch him rocking J’s, Curry’s, etc. in the pulpit too) — "Freddy" is a liberal, forward-thinking, hip-hop-loving sports fanatic who enjoys engaging in cultural matters with his daughter...

Abeni Jewel Haynes (@abenijewel)The theatrics on and off stage are ever-present in this actress' daily interactions with her father—and, honestly, her everyday life. After graduating from The Mecca (for those living under a rock, that's Howard University), she went on to study the Meisner technique at the William Esper Studio in NYC. Since then, she has appeared in various stage, film, and commercial productions. Abeni is a justice warrior and firmly believes in Fannie Lou Hamer's statement: "Nobody is free until everybody is free!" In addition to her passion for justice, she’s a sports lover (and a Cowboys hater). Abeni enjoys discussing all things sports, justice, and culture with her favorite person in the world: her dad!
